A large and fast growing broad leafed tree that has a wonderful open, spreading crown.
It displays broad green leaves, that turn red or red-brown in autumn; great colour throughout the seasons.
Growing Conditions:
Grows best in deep, fertile, well-drained soil. Requires lime free soil.
Value To Wildlife:
Offers a safe haven to nesting birds and bees and other pollinators are attracted to its flowering catkins. Whilst its corns are enjoyed by birds and small mammals.
Important Note:
You’ll receive a 2 year old well established whip that's between 20 to 60cm in height.
This is a deciduous tree and so will shed its leaves in autumn, in order to protect itself from the cold winter weather. Come spring, it’ll burst back into bud and begin to flourish once more.
